Lisa and I have been in the market for new bedroom furniture for awhile now.  The furniture we currently use was Lisa's when she was still living at home and it time for a change.  Not that the furniture if crap or anything, but the headboard doesn't fit on a king bed and we really need to do something about Shawn and Katie's bedroom sets as well.  I really don't want to spend the cash on furniture but we are overdue I'm afraid.   We will more than likely put our set in Katie's room and move the set in Katie's room to Shawn's room.  The items in Shawn's room are odds and ends at the moment.  When we were looking at bedroom sets at Elder-Beerman last night, we ran across a $1000 desk on clearance for $100!  How could we not buy that?  It's larger and newer than the one we were using.  Not a bad purchase I have to say!

It's crazy how it looks like the room is clean and orderly in this picture.  The room actually is about as packed as it could be with Katie's toys, two leather chairs, a side table, phone stand and piano in it!  It looks so bare in this picture, it makes me want to buy more furniture or hand a pitcture over the desk at the very least.

Finally, I wanted to post a picture of Shawn's latest Lego creation.  Shawn put this one together without a kit or any directions at all in celebration of this Friday's opening of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie.  Shawn is pretty creative and talented when it comes to Lego building, if I could only get him to apply himself into math or cleaning his room.....
